(mo)mo Futures currently embodies the artistic practices of visual poetry, Archiving, writing, learning, Dreaming and Time-traveling. Their creative expressions primarily manifest as video- and photo-installations, digital and tangible Archives, self portraiture, collages and the written word. They navigate the realms of Afrofuturism, Imagination and Rest as resistance with their Queer and Trans Afropean experience everpresent.
Their ever-growing Archives radiate joy, hope, pleasure, and Waywardness, responding to the urgent need for positive visual representation. With their art they reinscribe Black Queer people into history, facilitate Dreams about better worlds and create spaces for us to Heal. All while fuelling the flames of Queer Afropeanfuturism, keeping them alive and burning high.
